I'm a self-taught cook/baker who comes from a theatre and art background, but I grew up in a house that encouraged home grown, home cooked and innovative good foods. My Dad and his family come from Budapest, Hungary, a place that is famous for its cakes and fine pastries, and although the first professional pastries I made were meant to last for weeks under the hot lights of a stage production, lots has changed since then.
